At the end of August, 952 gleaming silver Airstreams filled the York Expo Center campus for the 68th Airstream Club International Rally. True to this year’s theme —“Let’s Make History”— the rally blended nostalgic camping traditions with fresh ideas, first-ever events, and a deep appreciation of the Club’s past and future.
A Grand Arrival
Rigs began rolling into York as early as Aug. 20, and by Saturday evening the fairgrounds had transformed into a vibrant community of 1,920 travelers from 47 states and three Canadian provinces. York’s central location on the densely populated Mid-Atlantic brought even more ACI members to the rally throughout the week, using day passes to join the fun.
Rally’s Opening Ceremonies set the tone: John Holly officiated a rousing kickoff featuring the Club’s first-ever all-female color guard. The Airstream Club Band performed stirring renditions of the military marches and US and Canadian national anthems. Attendees were welcomed by Patrick Ball of the York Expo Center and Nick Lenzo of Colonial Airstream — this year’s rally dealer and Aluminum Sponsor.
The Rally Exhibitor Expo was located in the UPMC Arena East in York.
Casino Night!
New Experiences, Classic Fun
Sunday launched the Exhibitor Expo, where 65 vendors offered everything from RV service to lifestyle products to financial solutions and more. A highlight was Airstream’s display of the Frank Lloyd Wright trailer — a must see for all Airstream lovers! Vendors and sponsors also contributed generous door prizes awarded throughout the rally.
Monday’s Paws & Claws Showcase put four-legged and feathered companions in the spotlight with fun categories like Best Trick, Most Unique Pet, and Pet & Owner Lookalike. Later, attendees gathered across the York Expo Center for neighborhood block parties. Under “We Rally” flags, old friends and new roasted s’mores with their rally gifts —retractable roasting sticks — before the beloved tradition of Airstreams Aglow lit up the night sky.
Attendees heard the State of Airstream from Airstream’s Vice President of Sales Bryan Melton and gained road-tested tips from content creator Patrick Botticelli of Colonial Airstream on Tuesday morning. The VAC parade moved to Tuesday afternoon this year – giving attendees a chance to grab their favorite beverage and sit in the grandstand to watch meticulously-kept Airstreams parade around the track. That evening, the fairgrounds turned into Las Vegas for Colonial Airstream Casino Night! Airstreamers donned Rat Pack attire and tried their luck at blackjack, poker, and roulette for prize raffles and raised money for the rally community service project.
Celebrating 70 Years of Airstream Club
Wednesday focused on the future and the past. Stephanie Schoenrock from Visit Minot extended an invitation to next year’s rally in North Dakota, giving away Minot prize packages to Becky Dombrowski (first Minot rally registrant) and Buddy Wuthrich (10th registrant).
Cupcakes to celebrate the club's 70th anniversary!
Wednesday evening’s 70th Anniversary Celebration was a highlight of the week. The ACI Band and Chorus led a musical journey through Club history while attendees sang from replica WBCCI songbooks. Cake, ice cream, a Wally & Helen lookalike contest, and vintage attire capped off a night brimming with nostalgia.
On Thursday, after a week of meals, socials, educational sessions and more, rally attendees gathered in UPMC Arena West to bid a fond farewell to York and enjoy one last night of fun and friendship. T-shirts were tossed, grand prizes given away and hugs, smiles and farewells exchanged.
Giving Back to York
One of our goals at every International Rally is to leave a positive footprint on our host community, and York was no exception. Partnering with Friends and Neighbors of Pennsylvania (FNOP), members built 277 hygiene kits, donated 1,015 pairs of socks, and contributed $7,728.06 in funds. Additional supplies and donations continued to roll in after the rally ended, including $1,000 from Grapes & Grains’ Mega Tasting. When the final tally was totaled, Airstreamers raised $10,794.50 in cash and donated more than $15,000 of supplies for FNOP’s outreach and community center.
International Rally attendees raised $7,728.06 for Friends and Neighbors of PA as part of the club's ongoing fundraising efforts.
The WBCCI Foundation raised and donated $2,500 for the Pennsylvania Parks and Forest Foundation.
$2,500 was also raised and donated to York County Parks.
The Rally’s Blood Drive was equally inspiring: in just two days, members donated 132 units of blood—enough to help up to 396 patients and representing more than $50,000 in economic impact. Click here for more information on this year’s and next year’s blood drive!
Future Streamers collected pop tabs for Ronald McDonald House Charities again this year and brought in an impressive 410 pounds of tabs!

Looking Ahead
On Friday morning, silver trailers began rolling out to their next adventures while the planning team and container crew packed up. The memories, friendships, and community impact of York will last far longer than the week itself.
Thank you to every attendee, volunteer, presenter, and sponsor who helped make history in York. We can’t wait to see you in Minot next August for the 69th Airstream Club International Rally!
